G30 Manifesto - Sustainable Architecture and Spatial Planning

G30 Manifesto - Sustainable Architecture and Spatial Planning

The G30 is committed to encouraging a better understanding of the role of architecture as well as to fostering a better perception of architects as essential partners within the various stakeholders working for a better quality of life for all.

Adopted in 2018 the Manifesto underlines, in particular, that adopting a holistic vision of the management of spaces (that implies for instance the systematic drawing up of master plans), as well as devising proactive policies towards encouraging architectural quality have never been so necessary in order to respond to the stakes facing society.

It is really urgent to put the public interest and the human being back at the centre of policies and decisions that affect the living environment.

The Manifesto is addressed in priority to:

  • political decision makers who drive economic and social development

  • public representatives directly responsible for the authorization and management of construction and urban planning projects

  • the media and influencers, fundamental intermediaries with the general public

  • potential clients of a responsible architecture

  • all other actors in the shaping of the built and non-built environment, whether public or private.
